It bakes very happily, with no fussing required, for an hour, and it's both a nice-looking and delicious apple cake. Ingredients
1 can apple pie filling
1 13-ounce can crushed pineapple
1 yellow cake mix
1 cup melted butter
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup chopped nuts or sliced almonds
Method
Preheat your oven to 325°F
Grease or spray with non-stick cooking spray a 13 x 9 pan.
Dump all the apple pie filling into the pan and spread evenly across bottom.
Dump the pineapple evenly over the pie fillinglayer.
Sprinkle a yellow cake mix evenly over the pineapple layer.
Pour the melted butter over the yellow cake mix layer.
Sprinkle the coconut and nuts on the top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour
Now how simple was that? Just like we figured...came together in a short time and can be popped in the preheated oven for an hour. Finished!!!
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped topping, or whipped cream and voila...a lovely dessert is on the table.
