Apple Dump Cake

This is a beautiful slice of Apple Dump Cake, but as you can see, it's almost more dessert than cake. Yum

Looking for a quick apple cake? Our Apple Dump Cakeis just the one for you. Although it is technically a delicious apple cake, it could well be considered an apple-pineapple-coconut dessert. Whatever you want to call it, you'll come back to this recipe time and time again because it's both easy and tasty.

Just think...busy day planned, company's coming by "for a few minutes" tonight. Our Apple Dump Cake is just the thing.

Although there may be one or two, I've never heard of anyone who doesn't like apples, and this cake comes together in no time. It bakes very happily, with no fussing required, for an hour, and it's both a nice-looking and delicious apple cake. Serve this beauty warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or some whipped cream and "you're golden."

The ingredients for this easy apple cake recipe can always be kept on hand for the inevitable "emergency." I hope you'll give it a try and that your family and friends will enjoy this apple dessert as much as mine.

Ingredients

1 can apple pie filling

1 13-ounce can crushed pineapple

1 yellow cake mix

1 cup melted butter

1 cup shredded coconut

1 cup chopped nuts or sliced almonds

Method

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F

  • Grease or spray with non-stick cooking spray a 13 x 9 pan.

  • Dump all the apple pie filling into the pan and spread evenly across bottom.

  • Dump the pineapple evenly over the pie fillinglayer.

  • Sprinkle a yellow cake mix evenly over the pineapple layer.

  • Pour the melted butter over the yellow cake mix layer.

  • Sprinkle the coconut and nuts on the top.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour

Now how simple was that? Just like we figured...came together in a short time and can be popped in the preheated oven for an hour. Finished!!!

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped topping, or whipped cream and voila...a lovely dessert is on the table.
