Apple Blossom Times
Your Quarterly E-zine from
Apple Recipes With Good Taste
Hello and Warm Wishes for a Happy Holiday Season,
As you can see from our picture, even Santa knows the value of apples. If he enjoys an apple break and it takes him all the way around the world in one night...just imagine the possibilities.
Sometimes around this time of the year, with all the cooking, baking, wrapping, decorating, and writing cards, we could all use an extra burst of energy from a quick apple break.
We're all in such a rush, aren't we? Let's do ourselves a favor this year and not try to be "perfect" and not feel personally responsible for making sure that everyone else's holiday is "perfect."
We can choose to make less complicated menus or forego a few of the "traditions" that have become less memorable than others. That way, we can actually "participate" in the Holiday Season by having more time to enjoy the company of family and friends.
Sure, we can tackle a couple of those "special" recipes we'd like to, but fill in with quicker, less time-consuming recipes. I hope you'll find a good sampling of each here at "Apple Recipes."
Just a quick note before I close. As of the new year, the Apple Blossom Times will be coming to you quarterly instead of monthly. Our first edition of 2010 will be in March, so I'll look forward to talking to you again then.
Please continue to visit our site as often and for as long as you can. We will continue to add quality recipes very frequently. Feel free to contact me through my "Contact Penny" page any time.
I sincerely hope that you will spend your Holiday Season in ways that are most meaningful for you.
With Warm Wishes to You and Yours,
Penny
We hope you enjoy these Recent Additions
to our
“Apple Recipes” website

In case you've been too busy preparing for the holidays and you may have missed a few of our newest recipes, we'll feature them
here for you.
Our Site Map is always a useful tool in making it easy to find
just the right recipe or to browse through all our recipes. It
is always up-to-date with our newest recipes.
As usual, when you click on each link or picture for the recipes, the page will open in a new window. Just "X" out of that page whenever you want to return to the newsletter.
Our Crockpot Apple Stuffing/Dressing Recipe
is just so handy when stove-top and oven room is non-existent because of the number of dishes you're making. It cooks happily in the crockpot and you ultimately have a traditional-tasting,
bread-type dressing.
These pork-apple bites
are easy, little tidbits to put together and they're topped with a warm, melted apple jelly sauce. In moderation, they are a healthier choice than most calorie-laden appetizers.
This
Dutch Oven Beef Stew
is just the thing with many of us facing a cold, wintry
season. It's "comfort food" at its finest. Heat up the
rolls, and dinner is on the table.
December Recipes Just for You
We always try to offer quality apple recipes that you can use, not only during the current holiday season, but all year 'round. I hope you'll find our recipes in this December edition of "Just for you" to be just these types of recipes.
To view the recipes, you will need an Adobe-Reader, which most
people have already. If not, please pick up your free copy
here.
To pick up your copy of our recipe booklet "Just for You," please click
here.
P.S.
As our holiday celebrations get closer and closer, please continue to be good to yourself. Try to "scale-down" the
preparations, menus, and old traditions as much as you can.
I look forward to our next visit. Apples are always "in season," so please check out some of the best apple recipes on the web at apple-recipes-with-good-taste.com. Together, we'll explore the many recipes that celebrate the use of our ever-favorite apples.
Warm wishes for a memorable Holiday Season.
