Hello and Happy Early Thanksgiving,
I guess we're all looking forward to that moist, nicely-browned and seasoned turkey that most of us will be enjoying for Thanksgiving Dinner.
There's nothing like roasting a turkey in your own home or arriving for dinner at another's home on Thanksgiving. The heavenly aroma of turkey just permeates the air, and our senses just jump for joy.
Do you find it true that Thanksgiving side dishes are almost as important as the turkey itself? Families seem to have their favorites from butternut squash to mashed potatoes to all kinds of stuffings and dressings. I know it's difficult to vary the menu much from year to year, but every now and then I slide in something new and watch for the reactions. I guess that's how new traditions are begun.
So let's get going on our Thanksgiving Newsletter, and hopefully you'll find some delicious recipes you'd like to try. Most can be enjoyed during the holidays and all through the year.
Very warm wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving,
Penny

I've been busily adding new and different recipes to the Apple Recipes site. Some may be wonderful additions to your holiday menus and other meal plans throughout the year. In case you may have missed a couple of recent recipes, here are some of the latest to hit the site.
Our Site Map is always a useful tool in making it easy to find
just the right recipe or to browse through all our recipes. It
is always up-to-date with our newest recipes.
As usual, when you click on each link or picture for the recipes, the page will open in a new window. Just "X" out of that page whenever you want to return to the newsletter.
Our Turkey Stuffing/Dressing Recipe
could be an extra side dish to go with your Thanksgiving turkey or other main dishes for chicken, pork, or even beef that you may be planning. Don't file it away...by all means use this great recipe throughout the year. You might even buy a small turkey for one
of your Sunday dinners.
This authentic German Apple Cake
is as great tasting as it is eye appealing. It certainly is worthy of being a special holiday dessert. Warm it just a bit and slide some nice vanilla ice cream on the plate with it. Mmmmmm!!!!
These
Apple Oatmeal Muffins with a Lemony Twist
I have to admit are my favorites...better than blueberry even. My daughter gave me this recipe, and now I'm as good as addicted to them. I just love that glaze, too. Go ahead and give them a try...you'll see what I mean.
Our
Wooden Spoon Apple Cake
needs only a wooden spoon to mix it together. Give your electric mixture the day off, and give this scrumptious apple cake recipe a try...you'll love it.
November Recipes Just for You
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I've put together some quicker, easier recipes. These will help to get you through the hectic days preparing for the turkey feast. Not cooking this year? No matter...these recipes you'll love any time of the year. That's the joy of having them.
I've included a wonderfully-different, Golden Delicious Cheese Spread. It's a great appetizer for Thanksgiving or to serve before any dinner. It also doubles as a nice snack while watching "the game," too.
Our Shortcut French Apple Pie comes together quickly and is a welcome addition to any dessert menu.
Make our Fresh Apple Sundaes when time is short and you want an easy, distinctive, very-delicious dessert.
Easy Applesauce Muffins will be a lovely break from all your work with a cup of coffee or tea. Your whole family will love seeing them show up for breakfast once in a while instead of toast, too.
To view these recipes, you will need an Adobe-Reader, which most
people have already. If not, please pick up your free copy

P.S.
As our holiday celebrations get closer and closer, please be good to yourself and do as much as possible ahead of time. Pamper yourself, even if you have to schedule in some "me time." You'll be amazed at how rejuvenating this time will be
for you. The tasks remaining will not seem so daunting and you'll go about them with a less-harried approach.
I look forward to our December visit. Apples are always "in season," so please check out some of the best apple recipes on the web at apple-recipes-with-good-taste.com. Together, we'll WOW our guests with dishes containing the most popular fruit in the world.
I hope you have a wonderful month.
Warm wishes for a lovely Thanksgiving,
