Apple Recipes With Good Taste
Hello,
October begins one of my favorite seasons...the beautiful season of fall or autumn. I've lived in New England all my life and each year when the green leaves turn to beautiful shades of gold, red, and orange, it's like experiencing a miracle for the first time. Even New Englanders run for their cameras and go
"leaf peeping" with the tourists.
Part of the magic of this season is seeing whole fields of pumpkins, gourds on display at neighborhood stands, and of course, apples, apples, and more apples. It took me long enough to get to the main point, didn't it?
I've had a busy month testing apple recipes of all kinds, to make available to you, not only for the Apple Recipes Site but for the recipe booklet "Just for You" this month. As usual, my intention is to offer you excellent apple recipes that you can use any time, but some that will be particularly helpful in planning for the upcoming holidays.
Again, I want to thank all the people who visit our site daily. I can't tell you how gratifying it is that our site can offer you the recipes you're looking for. That is always our main objective, and please continue to visit often to take advantage of our new and existing recipes.
Time to get on with our October newsletter.
Very Warm Wishes,
Penny
Recent Additions to our
“Apple Recipes” website
For those of you who may have missed some of our newer recipes,
we'll highlight just a few. Also, we invite you to check our Apple Recipes Blog, which is updated each time a new recipe is
added to the Apple Recipes site.
Our Site Map is also a useful tool in making it easy to find
just the recipe you're looking for or to browse through all our recipes. It, too, is updated each time a new recipe is added.
As usual, when you click on each link or picture for the recipes, the page will open in a new window. Just "X" out of that page whenever you want to return to the newsletter.
Sausage and Apple Appetizers
are great any time of the year, but if you're looking for make-ahead holiday recipes, this one is one of the best.
Baked Chicken Rice
Casserole with
Apple Cider Gravy
is a great one-dish meal that's sure to please.
Our Dish of Baked Amish Oatmeal
is one that couples convenience with good taste. It will warm you inside and out on those cold, wintry mornings.
Hot Water Pie Crust
is an easy pie crust recipe with great results. I hope you'll give it a try...the dough is very easy to work with and has a great taste.
October Recipes Just for You
This month I've included a cookie recipe with orange frosting for Halloween, but you can just tint the frosting to red, green or any color you choose for the various holidays throughout the year.
You'll also find an unusual fudge recipe. I know this is indulgent since most of us are watching our food intake. However, moderation is key, and one piece will be plenty to give you a nice, satisfying treat.
I've tried and would like to pass on to you another great recipe for baked apples, with the sweet taste of dried cranberries. It's a winner any time of the year.
To view these recipes, you will need an Adobe-Reader, which most
people have already. If not, please pick up your free copy
here.

P.S.
As we approach those hectic holiday celebrations, please be good to yourself and do as much as possible ahead of time. Give yourself permission to keep some of the "family recipes" that you don't want to change, but also to utilize some of the delicious, but easier recipes with fewer ingredients and less time involved in the preparation.
I look forward to our November visit, and you know you always have a warm and standing invitation to stop by apple-recipes-with-good-taste.com. I hope you have a wonderful month.
With warmest wishes,
Penny
